More Painting Adventures in August and September.
Many of these locations are on part of Delaware's Byways, less traveled roads where you find history, recreation and other treasures.
This lovely mansion and property used for events, conferences and tours called us back. This visit included rows of freshly blooming sunflowers bordering the entire property. We were thrilled.

Sep 17, 2014: Bethany Beach and Boardwalk, DE.
We met and parked near the Bandstand, 229 Rehoboth Ave, Bethany Beach. Paint the boardwalk, bandstand, shops or on the beach. It was a gorgeous day and a great time for DE's ocean beach scenes.
Sep 10, 2014: Chesterown, MD.
We walked to and paint great restored historic homes and sailboats, watercraft and Chester River scenes. Painting near the public dock we were close to the "Sultana" tall ship. The artists were scattered all over town so it was hard to catch them painting.

August 27, 2014 was spent at Abbott's Mill Nature Center near Milford, DE.
Many great sites to paint, grist mill buildings, barns, spillways, nature paths with boardwalks, Abbott's Pond and landscape areas with turning foliage. Parking, restrooms, and water available. Another historic gem and perfect spot for repeat visits!
This area consists of the Old Presbyterian Church, brick chapel (1880), brick gas plant office building, and the Georgian-style Eldridge Reeves Johnson Memorial Building (Johnson Victrola Museum). Buried in the adjacent cemetery are a number of prominent Delawareans.
